Due to the 100% chance of rain on April 13th, The Don't mess with Texas® Trash-Off has been extended. If you would like to adopt an area in the community to clean during the month of April or May, or have any questions, please call 254-386-5954.
Date: Saturday April 13, 2019 Time: 8:00 a.m. - 10 a.m. Location: Hamilton Fair Park, Jayson Harris Pavilion, 1007 Park Road
The Don't mess with Texas® Trash-Off will kick-off in the Jayson Harris Pavilion at 8:00 a.m. Volunteers will receive a free Keep Hamilton Beautiful t-shirt, and be welcomed with donuts and coffee. A group photo will be taken at 8:15.
Specific areas in the community will be assigned to each team. Traditionally, teams finish cleaning their assigned area in 1-2 hours. All essential tools will be provided for you.
The Don’t mess with Texas® Trash-Off serves as Texas’ signature event for the Great American Cleanup and is the single largest one-day cleanup event in the state. The program supports efforts to clear Texas roadsides of trash. Don’t mess with Texas® is a registered trademark owned by the Texas Department of Transportation.
This event is hosted by Keep Texas Beautiful, Texas Department of Transportation, and the Keep Hamilton Beautiful Program through the Hamilton Economic Development Corporation.
