   Courthouse Square Seasonal Window Art Program

   Hamilton Main Street’s Courthouse Square Seasonal Window Art Program brings temporary, hand-applied window designs to downtown storefronts around the square. The goal is to add color, charm, and a walkable seasonal experience that encourages residents and visitors to explore Downtown Hamilton throughout the year.

   What it is

   Seasonal window art is temporary artwork applied to exterior-facing storefront windows. Designs are created to match one of four seasonal themes:

   • Spring
   • Summer
   • Fall
   • Winter

   Each participating business selects one season per window. Businesses may also choose to reserve multiple seasons for the same window to keep their storefront updated year-round.

   Where it takes place

   This is a Courthouse Square project, focused on storefronts and windows in the Downtown/Main Street area around the courthouse.

   Who can participate

   • Downtown property owners and businesses with storefront windows
   • Tenants may participate with property owner approval when needed

   Participation is subject to scheduling and window suitability (visibility, access, and surface conditions).

   Pricing

   • Single season per window: $50
   • Multiple seasons per window: $40 per season (for the same window)

   Payment terms

   Payment is due after the program agreement is signed. Please do not submit payment information through the interest form.

   How the process works

   1. Submit the Seasonal Window Art Interest Form
   2. Main Street confirms window count, location, visibility, and season selection
   3. Main Street provides a program agreement outlining schedule, design expectations, and care/removal
   4. After the agreement is signed, payment is due
   5. Window art is scheduled and applied during the selected season’s installation window
   6. Main Street promotes participating locations as part of a seasonal “Window Walk” (as available)

   Design approach

   Designs are intended to be:

   • Family-friendly and appropriate for a public downtown setting
   • Seasonal, cheerful, and visually consistent across the Courthouse Square district
   • Compatible with business visibility (art placed to avoid blocking key signage when possible)

   Care and duration

   Window art is designed to last through the season, but longevity can vary based on sun exposure, weather, and cleaning. Participants agree to basic care guidelines provided by Main Street (for example, avoiding abrasive cleaning on painted areas).
