PUBLIC NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Completion of Former Nursing Home Brownfields Cleanup Project
City of Hamilton, Texas
The City of Hamilton will hold a public hearing to inform the community and receive comments regarding the completed cleanup of the former nursing home property located at 400 W. Grogan Street, Hamilton, Texas.
Cleanup activities were funded by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) through a Brownfields Cleanup Grant (Cooperative Agreement No. 02F74101). Environmental assessments identified asbestos-containing materials within the building. The cleanup consisted of regulated asbestos abatement conducted by licensed contractors under the oversight of a Qualified Environmental Professional, in accordance with applicable federal and State of Texas regulations.

At this public hearing, the City and its Qualified Environmental Professional will present an overview of the completed cleanup activities, summarize project outcomes, and provide an opportunity for public comments and questions.
